Who We Are

The Cross Christian School is committed to providing an excellent, Christ-centered education that is both high in quality and accessible to families in our community. Serving over 100 families, we strive to nurture not only academic achievement but also strong character and faith. We take pride in offering a supportive learning environment that includes a dedicated Special Education (SPED) program, ensuring that students of varying needs are given the tools and attention they deserve to succeed. In addition, our partnership with Southwest Baptist University allows our students to get a head start on their future through online college credit opportunities. By keeping tuition affordable while maintaining strong academic and spiritual standards, we are able to make a lasting impact on the lives of local families—and with your support, we can continue to grow and serve even more.

Our school is blessed to serve families from a wide variety of churches and Christian denominations, creating a community united by a shared commitment to Christ-centered education. While our students, teachers, and staff represent many different church backgrounds, traditions, and denominations, our school is a ministry of Heritage Baptist Church. We are also grateful for our partnership with Hillcrest Baptist Church, whose campus provides a welcoming home for our Middle School and High School students. Together, these churches support our mission of providing an excellent academic education grounded in Biblical truth while fostering spiritual growth and Christ-like character in every student.

Our Vision - “The Why”

We believe every individual is made in the image of God and gifted with specific passions and abilities. Our desire is to come alongside every unique student and teacher to develop these gifts in order to positively impact Lebanon, Missouri, the United States and the ends of the Earth.

Our Mission - “The HOW”

  • A rigorous academic environment, rich curriculum, intentional spiritual formation and a standard of grit and excellence will pave the way for our vision.

  • Administrators will come alongside teachers and students to develop academic, spiritual and personal gains. Continual growth for each individual involved in TCCS will be the administrators’ main mission.

  • Teachers and support staff will work diligently to create a learning environment that challenges students while focusing on the individual needs of each student. Class sizes will be kept small in order to better meet the needs of our students. Teachers will embrace the paradox of high expectations and abundant love and grace.

  • Parents will partner with the administration and teachers to ensure that their individual student(s) matures and flourishes during his or her time at TCCS. Parents will join the teachers and administration in setting high expectations for their individual student while advocating for him or her.

  • Students will embrace an attitude of determination and grit to own their role in academic, spiritual and personal growth.

  • Our four-day school week is designed to support both academic excellence and family well-being. With focused, intentional instruction Monday through Thursday, students continue to receive a high-quality, Christ-centered education while enjoying the benefits of an extended weekend. Fridays provide valuable opportunities for family time, church involvement, community service, educational enrichment, appointments, or much-needed rest, helping students return to school refreshed, engaged, and ready to learn.
